Pain
You probably noticed that I have not mentioned a word “pain” once till now.
Yet, it might be a sole reason why you are here, my friend.
I am truly sorry you are going through such a difficult experience. Dealing with chronic physical pain can indeed be incredibly challenging, affecting not only your body but also your emotional and mental wellbeing. Living with chronic pain can also feel isolating. Please remember that you are not alone. Your strength in facing this adversity is commendable, and I am here to offer my support and help.
In moments of intense pain, focusing on any other aspect of it but physiological can be overwhelming. Our initial approach involves alleviating this physical discomfort, regulating your system to provide some relief. This step creates space for more in-depth discussions.
We will begin by establishing your SOS routine. I will show you the positions that naturally ease your symptoms and inflammation. You can then integrate these positions to find relief, potentially reducing reliance on medication.
This is a gradual process, and I will be by your side every step of the way. Rather than emphasizing intensity, our focus will be on discovering movements that evoke a sense of safety. We will acknowledge the difference between short-term and long-term solutions, recognising the validity of each in their appropriate timing.
We then accept that our pain and discomfort serve as symptoms, signals, and sensations. Our body communicates with us through these mechanisms, signalling the need for our attention and assistance. The true origin of the chronic or acute chronic pain is deeper and requires thorough investigation and discovery. So, we start tuning in and listening. Once we uncover the root cause, addressing the pain becomes a natural outcome.
We take a holistic approach, examining the whole, identifying the root cause, and shifting our relationship with pain.
Our body loves us unconditionally, yet its biology is designed to respond to stimuli. When we can offer the appropriate stimuli, our body will flourish.
At some point we might even find a courage to recognise that facing challenges and embracing pain can lead to discovering new opportunities and even our life's purpose. It can be seen as a reflection of our capacity for more significant accomplishments than our current situation may suggest. Rather than stumbling upon such clarity easy, it often arises during such moments of adversity. Embracing this through intention and action, we change both mental and physical habits, we restore our natural balance, and we find the best versions of ourselves, the true us.
I genuinely care about you, having walked a similar path. Please, always be kind to yourself and allow those moments of overwhelming emotions, express them, so they can be followed by the moments of clarity, where you can heal and embrace wellbeing once again.
